Divider.tif The *MSE Module* (Max for Cats Synthesizer Expander) is inspired by the Oberheim SEM model. It's a relatively small but very powerful synthesizer which can be played either in monophonic mode or with eight-voice polyphony. It offers a high quality sound at low CPU cost. It features: -> Two oscillators -> A multimode state variable filter with LP, Notch, HP and BP -> Two LFOs with several waveforms, sync or freerunning -> Two ADS Envelopes -> A sub and noise oscillator -> Several modulation targets Divider.tif The *Quad Synthesizer* is four MSE modules stacked together. -> All four modules can be triggered by a single MIDI note in sequential order, or all four voices can play together in Unison mode. -> All four modules can have their own keysplit, which allows for a huge variety in sound and playability. -> Try slightly different settings on each of the four modules to get that "big" sound. Divider.tif The *Seq8* is a classic step sequencer with eight steps. Each step outputs a value (in note values) between C-2 and G8, a velocity value, plus an additional map value which can be used to automate any parameter in Live. Each step also offers a mute function. The sequence playback direction can be set to: -> FWD = Forward -> BWD = Backward -> BAF = Back and Forth -> RND = Random $Comment -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- $Page ConChord $TargetName ConChord *ConChord* ConChord.png Create intricate rhythmic and melodic patterns with the ConChord pulse-based chord step sequencer. Alongside the classic time, swing and play direction parameters, each step can have a variable pulse count, allowing for rests, pauses and repetitions. Each step can also generate a chord, adding an extra level of musicality to this device. Divider.tif Parameters: -> *Seq Run/Stop:* If Live's transport is off, then press play will start both the sequencer and Live's transport. Stop will stop the sequence but keeps Live's transport running. -> *Stepcount:* Chooses between 8 or 16 steps. -> *Step Length:* Adjusts the length of the sequence. -> *MIDI Input:* Activates MIDI input to transpose the sequence via MIDI. -> *Root:* Changes the root note of the sequence (only possible when MIDI input is disabled). -> *MIDI Thru:* Enables MIDI to pass through the device. -> *Step:* Adjusts the Note pitches, velocity, length and octave per step. -> *Stage:* Sets the pulse count per step. This can be pause, repeat, wait. -> *Chord:* Sets a chord per step (there are 21 variations). Also, you can define the inversion and strumming factor of the chord or generate a chord at random. -> *Extra:* Offers a mapping function (to any function in Live) and scale chooser for the Note/Pitches of the root notes. -> *Direction:* Chooses between forwards, backwards, alternating and random step. $Comment -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- $Page Stochastic Delay $TargetName Stochastic Delay *Stochastic Delay* StochasticDelay.png This is not your average delay – create unpredictable rhythmic effects by injecting all kinds of audio material with semi-random stochastic patterns. Set the two mathematically-driven delay engines using the Resolution and Delay units, or throw the dice for a random outcome. Divider.tif Parameters: -> *Tempo:* Can be synced to Live's tempo or set manually. -> *Stereo:* Adjusts the stereo spread from mono to wide stereo. -> *Smoothing:* Adjusts smoothing in samples. -> *Resolution and Delay Unit:* Adjust these with your mouse or click the dice buttons to randomize them. -> *Filter:* A post-delay filter lets you adjust the low and high frequencies, and attenuate those with a gain factor from -24 dB to 0 dB. The frequency spectrum of the low frequency band can be adjusted from 10Hz to 2kHz and the high frequency band can be freely adjusted between 1 kHz up to 20 kHz. Below the Low and High frequency knobs, you can adjust each filter's Q factor. -> *Reverb:* Adds some space around the delay patterns. You can choose from four different character types: *I.* Spring *II.* Room *III.* Hall *IV.* Cathedral -> *Dry/Wet:* Blend between dry (no effect) and wet (100% effect). $Comment -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- $Page Verbotron $TargetName Verbotron *Verbotron* Verbotron.png Give your work some space with Verbotron – a stereo processing reverb effect. It uses the original Gigaverb algorithm created by Juhana Sadeharju. Divider.tif Parameters: -> *Early:* A volume control that determines the amount of early reflections. Early reflections are similar to slap back echoes. Though they are not responsible for the typical hall effect generally linked with reverb, they contain lots of acoustic information about the setup in which the sound occurs. -> *Time:* Controls the approximate duration of the reverb floor. In general, this parameter affects the simulation of the reverb tail. Very small settings cause the tail to almost disappear. -> *Room Size:* Controls the overall characteristics of the reverb effect. In general, this parameter influences both the simulation of early reflections and the sound of the tail. -> *Damp:* This parameter controls the response of the early reflections and the decay of the reverb tail. The higher the value, the less intense the reverb. -> *Spread:* Increases or decreases the stereo width of the effect signal. -> *Tail:* A volume control that determines the amount of the hall effect of the reverb. The volume of the tail determines how intense the reverb appears to be. -> *Width:* Provides some kind of “tone” control. Small values cause a smaller frequency range to be processed. In general, the effect of this control can be heard in the treble band. Smaller values cause a “muffled” and less bright reverb. -> *Dry/Wet:* A volume control that determines the amount of original sound in the reverb. $Comment -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- $Page Color $TargetName Color *Color* Color.png Add grit and color to your tracks with Color – a sound texture device. Color is great for infusing individual instrumental parts or full mixes with a variety of vinyl noises, hiss, drive, wobble, and analog warmth. The device is a useful addition to your musical toolkit, whether you want to add a pinch of nostalgic tape fluctuation or filter a modern club track. For full control, any of the sound coloring sections can be activated individually while *Dry/Wet* blends the original signal with the colored signal. Divider.tif Parameters: -> *Vinyl:* Uses the number box to select different types of vinyl noise and adjust the volume with the dial. -> *Tone:* Adjusts the tone (pitch) of the vinyl noise. -> *Hiss:* Adds classic tape noise. -> *Age:* Adjusts the tone of the tape noise. -> *Duck:* Makes the vinyl noises audible only when audio passes through the device. -> *Wobble:* Simulate tape fluctuations with adjustable rate and depth. This reproduces the mechanical characteristics of old tape machines. -> *Flutter:* Adjusts the level of tape flutter. -> *Phase:* Aligns/misaligns the phase of the signal. -> *Drive:* Adds raw distortion. -> *Soften:* Switches to a slightly more mellow distortion type. -> *Limiter:* Prevents the signal from overshooting, when activated. -> *EQ:* A powerful 3-Band EQ, fully parametric with adjustable MID-Q. -> *Output:* An additional *Post-Gain* allows you to gainstage your signal before it leaves the output. -> *Stereo:* Switches between mono (off) and stereo (on). -> *Dry/Wet:* Blends between dry (no effect) and wet (100% effect). $Comment -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- $Page Skram Delay $TargetName Skram Delay *Skram Delay* SkramDelay.png Get glitchy with Skram Delay – a dual channel delay effect with modulated delay times, which generates random lines of delay. Create anything from subtle changes such as slap-back or cardboard echoes to complete sonic chaos. Each channel can have independent settings, or can be linked. Skram Delay is pre-mapped for use with Push. Divider.tif Parameters: -> *Activator:* Chooses whether to activate channel A and/or channel B. -> *Delay speed:* Adjusts the delay speed for each channel. -> *Delay Feedback:* Adjusts the delay feedback for each channel. -> *Ramp:* Interpolates the delay changes. -> *Pan:* Sets the pan for each channel. -> *Random amount:* Sets the amount of randomisation per channel. -> *Link:* When active, both channels are linked - Channel B can be controlled by channel A's parameters or vice versa.
