Now it's time to bring the results of the different lessons together. This Set doesn’t contain step-by-step instructions, but rather demonstrates how combining the various possibilities of Max for Live can result in a radically different approach to using Live. Knobs.png *Controlling a song with just 4 dials* The /Control/ track in this Set has Build and Variation knobs that link out to Launcher devices on every track to control which clips are playing. The Chaos and Narrow knobs are linked to other Macro Knob devices in the separate tracks, which are in turn linked to various effect parameters, letting you separately define what Chaos and Narrow mean for every different track. This lesson shows how: -> Combining separate devices allows for a flexible system for controlling a Set -> Thinking about devices as elements in a larger whole informs which features to include and which to leave out -> Having many Max for Live devices in a Set can affect load times. This Set takes longer to load than the Sets used so far. *Continuing to learn* The lessons in this Pack cover a number of fundamental aspects of Max for Live. You’ve taken the first steps toward building your own devices, but finishing them will require more digging for answers, more trial and error, and more learning from other devices like those in the Examples section of this Pack. Remember – you don't have to learn alone. There is a vibrant community of Max users who would be happy to give you advice or lend a hand.. Find them at the $Link Cycling '74 forums . See you there!
